On January 11 Deputy Foreign Minister of Russia Sergey Vershinin met with the Special Envoy of The UN Secretary-General for Yemen Martin Grtiffiths in Moscow.

During the meeting they discussed the political, military and humanitarian situation in the Republic of Yemen with a special view to the current status and implementation prospects of the agreements reached by the parties during the 6-13 December talks in Sweden under the UN auspices and endorsed by the UN SC resolution 2451. In this regard, they stressed the necessity to continue the collective efforts ensuring that the conflicting Yemeni parties will keep their obligations according to the mentioned agreements.
