On May 30, The Special Representative of the President of the Russian Federation for the Middle East and African countries, Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs of Russia Mikhail Bogdanov received the Ambassador of the Republic of Yemen in Moscow, Ahmed Al-Waheishi, at his request.

At the meeting the diplomats discussed possible ways of overcoming devastating for Yemen and pernicious for its people inter-Yemeni conflict. On the Russian side, it was again stressed that there is only one way out of this permanent crisis, including its humanitarian aspect, and it is putting an urgent end to the military confrontation and forming a broad national consensus on the future political arrangement of the Yemeni state.
